Project overview
We are seeking an experienced Retail Operations Manager to lead our customer service/success initiatives and enhance our retail brick and mortar operational processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in remote team management and demonstrate a proven track record in improving customer experience. This role is for a go getter that is a self-starter and takes initiative. This role will work directly with the owner to review and learn about overall operations. It will be part time to allow time to learn and obtain appropriate feedback. The owner is accustomed to remote staff with IT/Finance background to support this dynamic position. Initial phase will be to document operational procedures into a third party, Wiki type tool. Current processes are documented in Word docs and will be converted into this tool. This phase will determine the success of this position going forward for this candidate. Once the initial documentation phase is complete, this role will turn this over to an operational role. In addition, the next phase will be to develop and build a CRM role that will be managed by this position. Responsibilities: · Develop and execute a scalable operational strategy and optimize workflow · Streamline operations, customer service, and fulfillment for efficiency and profitability · Lead and mentor sales and operations teams to meet key performance goals · Establish automation, AI tools, and CRM systems to improve workflow · Ensure smooth execution of key company initiatives and high-level decision-making Requirements: · Proven experience in retail operations management · Expertise in scaling operations, customer service/success, and revenue growth · Experience building and managing high-performing teams · Familiarity with multiple platforms, eCommerce, POS, Inventory, and CRM tools · Ability to lead strategic planning, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives · Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills · Strong leadership and change-agent capabilities Preferred: · Experience in retail furniture operations preferred but not required · Background in operational management, retail operations, and customer service · Knowledge of AI-driven automation tools and process optimization Commitment & Compensation: · Part-time, flexible engagement (@20 hours per week) · Compensation structure negotiable How to Apply: This role is intended for a dynamic individual that is a motivated self-starter.
