I publish regular content on YouTube and need thumbnails that feel professional, minimalist, and instantly legible even on a phone screen. For every video, I want two to three distinctly different concepts, each followed by a couple of small tweaks so we can A/B test which variation earns the stronger click-through rate.

Here’s the workflow I have in mind:
• You deliver the concepts, source files (PSD or AI), and correctly sized PNG exports.
• I rotate each version for at least two days. If a thumbnail scores below a 5.5 % CTR, we adjust or move to a fresh concept—always within a two-week iteration window.
• While monitoring CTR, you also keep an eye on average view duration and the first-three-minute retention curve. If the numbers hint that the visual promise of the thumbnail isn’t fulfilled early in the video, flag it so we can realign expectations.

Title ideas and any overlay copy that strengthens the thumbnail’s hook should come packaged with each set. Clean typography, strong contrast, and plenty of negative space are essential; clutter, comedy graphics, and heavy textures are not a fit for this channel.

By the end of each cycle I should have:
1. 2-3 unique thumbnail designs + minor A/B variations
2. A short line explaining why each concept should resonate with the target viewer
3. Source files and final exports ready to upload

If this systematic, data-driven approach to minimalist thumbnail design sounds like your wheelhouse, let’s start on the next upload.
