I need a skilled children’s writer to craft an educational picture book that introduces toddlers (ages 1–3) to the alphabet and basic numbers in a playful, memorable way. The manuscript should be short, rhythmic, and highly engaging, with clear repetition and gentle pacing suitable for very young listeners during read-aloud time.
Here’s what I’m aiming for
• A complete manuscript of roughly 22–28 spreads, each pairing one letter or number with a simple, toddler-friendly sentence.
• Language that encourages phonemic awareness—think alliteration, onomatopoeia, and soft rhymes—without becoming too wordy.
• Page cues for illustrators describing the scene, characters, and key visual elements so artwork can reinforce each concept.
• A balanced progression: A-Z followed by 1-10 (or vice-versa if you have a stronger flow).
• A short parent/educator guide at the back with ideas for interactive learning activities.
Acceptance criteria
– Text must be original and free of plagiarism.
– Vocabulary remains within a toddler comprehension range while still sounding lively.
– Consistent tone, cadence, and educational intent across all pages.
– Delivered in an editable Google Doc or Word file.
If you have experience writing for very young readers and can weave learning seamlessly into fun storytelling, I’d love to review a brief sample or outline before we move forward.
