I’m ready to commission a cross-platform mobile app that streamlines every aspect of my security company’s field operations. The same build must ship to both the Apple App Store and Google Play so every officer, manager, and client can use a single code-base on iOS or Android.
Core workflow
• Security officers will clock in at the start of their tour, clock out at the end, and have their total weekly hours calculated automatically.
• Hourly security checks are scheduled in advance; if one is missed I need an instant push notification.
• While on site, officers write reports, attach multiple photos directly from the device camera, and submit them in real time.
• A built-in internal mail system lets officers, managers, and clients message each other without leaving the app.
Geofence engine
The system must 1) trigger alerts when officers leave designated areas, 2) log each officer’s location at regular intervals, and 3) notify us the moment they enter or exit a defined zone. Accuracy and battery efficiency are both critical.
Role-based access
• Security officers – perform checks, create reports, send/receive messages.
• Managers/Administrators – configure sites, schedules, geofences, and pull consolidated time-sheet exports.
• Clients – log in to view live reports and completed security checks for their specific site only.
Reporting portal
Clients and managers will have a lightweight web view (or in-app tab) where they can filter, download, or print PDFs of activity reports.
Deliverables
1. Production-ready iOS and Android apps published under our developer accounts.
2. Admin/Client web dashboard or in-app web view.
3. Secure backend (Firebase, AWS Amplify, or a comparable cloud stack) with real-time data sync and role-based permissions.
4. Source code, build scripts, and brief hand-over documentation.
Acceptance criteria
• Successful geofence tests with alerts, logs, and notifications firing as specified.
• End-to-end report flow: photo capture → submission → client view.
• Accurate time-sheet export matching manual records for at least one full week.
• App passes App Store and Play Store review.
If you have proven experience with GPS, push notifications, and multitenant user roles, let’s discuss architecture and milestones.
