I need a complete Python implementation of a Maximum Power Point Tracking controller that uses the Perturb and Observe algorithm for a residential rooftop PV array I am modelling. The focus is on achieving a fast, repeatable response time as irradiance and temperature change, so the code should be structured for real-time execution on a microcontroller-class target (Raspberry Pi Pico or similar) yet remain easy to test on a laptop first.
Please write clean, well-commented Python 3 code with clearly separated sensing, control-loop, and actuation blocks. Include a short simulation harness so I can feed in sample IV curves and instantly see how quickly the operating point converges after a step change. Graphical output is welcome if you use Matplotlib, but keep the core logic independent of external plotting libraries so it can be dropped into firmware later.

• Source code files (.py) with the P&O algorithm and helper functions
• A read-me explaining setup, required libraries, and how to run the simulation
• Example data set and a brief report showing the measured response time under at least two irradiance profiles
