Next.js Vercel Cloudflare Cost Optimization

Our production platform runs on a Next.js monorepo, deploys through Vercel, and relies on Cloudflare for both CDN and image manipulation. Traffic has grown, and so have the bills—far beyond what the team or our investors consider reasonable. I need someone who already knows the quirks of these three services working together and can turn that knowledge into immediate savings without sacrificing user experience.

What I expect from you:

• An end-to-end audit of the current setup, including build settings, edge functions, cache rules, image resizing/polish policies, and any over-provisioned Vercel plans or Cloudflare add-ons.

• Clear, written recommendations with cost projections before we flip any switches, so I can see the trade-offs.

• Hands-on implementation: adjusting Next.js config, tweaking Vercel project settings (functions, regions, build output), rewriting Cloudflare rules, and introducing smarter caching where it makes sense.

• A concise hand-off document that explains every change, making it simple for our in-house developers to maintain the new, lean configuration.

If you have case studies or metrics from similar optimizations, include them in your proposal. My priority is measurable reduction in monthly spend while keeping TTFB low and image quality intact.
