We are building a prototype using a Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 on a Waveshare CM5-NANO-B carrier and a TI DLPDLCR230NPEVM projector. We have KiCad design files for a custom HDMI-to-parallel-RGB adapter, but the adapter and the full system have not yet been validated on the bench. I need an electronics engineer who can help hands-on in Tallinn. Remote PCB work after the first visit is fine.
First milestone — hands-on assessment in Tallinn:
• Inspect the exact board revisions, datasheets, connectors, current supplies, and existing KiCad design.
• Bring up the CM5 and projector safely with appropriate separate supplies; measure voltage, current, startup behaviour, and relevant signals. Diagnose the projector connection without assuming power is the only issue.
• Give me a short written report with measurements, photos/scope captures where useful, and a clear plan for the next prototype.
Second milestone — one-power-cord design and prototype:
• Design a way to run both boards from one suitable external DC supply, with correct connectors, protected branches, current capacity, cable/PCB voltage drop, heat, grounding, and safe startup/shutdown considered. We want one wall plug for the product, not an exposed mains design.
• Review/update the existing KiCad adapter as needed and design the power-distribution PCB and/or harness. Provide editable KiCad schematic and PCB files, BOM with part numbers, Gerbers, assembly/wiring notes, and a test procedure.
• Help test the first assembled prototype and document measured results and any remaining blockers.
Please tell me whether you can work in Tallinn for the initial bench session, your availability, and examples of relevant PCB design, multi-amp DC power, and embedded hardware bring-up. Experience with Raspberry Pi Compute Modules and video/projector interfaces is a plus. Please quote the first assessment separately from the later design/prototype work. There may be an opportunity for longer-term work if it is a good fit.
