## About the Role
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support our product development and engineering projects. The candidate will be responsible for electrical design, electromagnetic calculations, winding design, prototype development, testing, validation, troubleshooting, and optimization of electrical components and systems.
The role requires close coordination with mechanical, electronics, manufacturing, and testing teams to develop reliable and high-performance products.
## Key Responsibilities
* Perform electrical and electromagnetic design calculations for assigned projects.
* Design and optimize winding configurations, turns, wire selection, core selection, insulation, and electrical parameters.
* Calculate and analyze voltage, current, frequency, inductance, impedance, losses, efficiency, and temperature-related parameters.
* Develop electrical specifications based on application and project requirements.
* Prepare electrical drawings, winding details, technical specifications, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
* Support prototype development and coordinate with manufacturing teams for winding, assembly, and testing activities.
* Conduct electrical testing and validation of prototypes and components.
* Use testing equipment such as LCR meter, oscilloscope, multimeter, power analyzer, and insulation tester.
* Analyze test results and identify deviations from design requirements.
* Troubleshoot issues related to winding, electrical performance, insulation, losses, temperature, and signal/power transfer.
* Modify and optimize designs based on test results and project requirements.
* Support electromagnetic and thermal analysis of electrical components.
* Coordinate with mechanical engineers for integration of electrical components into mechanical assemblies.
* Work with suppliers for selection and procurement of electrical materials and components.
* Support design verification, validation, and documentation activities.
* Ensure assigned engineering tasks and project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
## Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
* 2–5 years of experience in electrical product development, motor-related applications, transformer-related systems, electromagnetic design, or similar areas.
* Strong understanding of electrical and electromagnetic principles.
* Good knowledge of winding design, magnetic circuits, electrical insulation, and electrical testing.
* Experience in electrical calculations and component selection.
* Ability to read and prepare electrical drawings and technical documentation.
* Hands-on experience with electrical testing instruments.
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
* Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
## Preferred Skills
* Experience in electric motors, EV, automotive, powertrain, or industrial applications.
* Experience with ANSYS Maxwell or other electromagnetic simulation tools.
* Knowledge of electromagnetic and thermal simulation.
* Experience in prototype development and design validation.
* Knowledge of winding and assembly processes.
* Experience working with high-speed rotating electrical systems will be an added advantage.
## Project-Based Engagement
This is a project-based / contract position. The selected candidate will work on specific engineering projects for the agreed project duration. The engagement may be extended depending on project requirements and business needs.
The candidate will be required to work on-site at Attron Automotive, Chinchwad, Pune throughout the project assignment.
