Complete Frontend Redesign of Existing HTML Website – Existing Backend/Workers Must Remain Compatible
I am looking for an experienced frontend developer / web designer to create a complete visual redesign of an existing single-page HTML e-commerce website for a new domain and a new brand.
I will provide the current, working index.html as the technical reference.
Important: Existing Backend / Workers Must Remain
This is NOT a request to rebuild the backend or Workers.
The existing backend/Worker infrastructure is already working and should remain unchanged.
The objective is to create a new production-ready index.html that looks like a completely different, professionally designed website while preserving full technical compatibility with the existing system.
In other words:
Same underlying functionality and compatibility – completely different visual appearance and branding.
What Can Be Redesigned
You are free to create a completely new visual design, including:
- new visual identity
- colors
- typography
- header and navigation
- hero section
- product presentation and product cards
- page layout
- buttons and UI elements
- spacing
- visual sections
- footer
- responsive/mobile presentation
I do not want a simple recoloring or minor modification of the existing website.
The new website should have its own clear visual identity and should look like a genuinely different website for a new brand.
What Must Continue to Work
The current index.html already communicates with the existing backend/Workers.
The redesigned frontend must remain compatible with the existing technical system, including:
- existing products
- product variants
- product IDs/mappings required by the backend
- prices and calculations
- shopping cart
- stock availability
- discount-code validation
- checkout/order form
- order submission
- communication with the existing API endpoints/Workers
- existing order payload structure/compatibility
Please do not rebuild, replace or unnecessarily modify the existing functionality.
The visual frontend should be redesigned around the existing working technical structure.
New Domain & New Brand
The redesigned website will be used for a different domain and a different brand.
Therefore, visible references to the current brand/domain in the frontend must be replaced appropriately, including where applicable:
- brand name
- logo/wordmark
- domain references
- page title
- meta description
- canonical URL
- Open Graph/social metadata
- visible frontend branding
- other frontend references specific to the existing brand
I will provide the final new domain name and brand information.
However, technical elements that are required for compatibility with the existing backend must not simply be renamed or removed.
Existing Workers
I will also provide the relevant existing Worker/backend information so that you can understand how the current frontend communicates with the system.
The goal is not to redesign or rebuild these Workers.
They should be treated as the existing backend that the new frontend must remain compatible with.
If you identify something that technically prevents the new domain from working with the existing Workers, please explain the exact issue to me before changing anything in the backend.
Do not make independent backend/Worker changes without my approval.
Design Mockup Required Before Hiring
Before I select and hire a freelancer for the full project, I would like to see a simple design mockup/concept for the new website.
The mockup does not need to be functional or fully developed.
I am not asking you to build the complete website before being hired.
I simply want to see the visual direction you would propose for the redesign.
Ideally, please show:
- the homepage / hero area
- header/navigation
- one example product section or product card
This is enough for me to understand your proposed design direction.
A simple Figma mockup, image, screenshot or comparable visual concept is sufficient.
Please include this mockup/design concept with your proposal.
I will use the mockups to decide which design direction and freelancer I would like to continue with.
At this stage, please do not spend time developing the functionality. I only want to evaluate the visual concept before hiring.
Final Deliverable
After hiring, the final deliverable should be:
One complete, clean and production-ready index.html for the new brand/domain.
The goal is that I can upload the finished file to the new website and put it online without having to rebuild the frontend afterwards.
The website must be fully responsive and work properly on both desktop and mobile.
Before final delivery, the complete functionality must be tested, especially:
Product selection → variants → cart → discount code → checkout → order submission
The final website should therefore combine:
A completely new visual design + the proven functionality/compatibility of the existing website.

Please confirm that you understand:
1. This is a complete visual redesign for a new brand/domain.
2. The final website should look clearly different from the existing website.
3. The existing backend/Workers should remain unchanged unless I explicitly approve a necessary change.
4. Existing frontend-to-backend functionality and compatibility must be preserved.
5. You will provide a simple visual mockup/concept with your proposal before I select the freelancer.
6. After being hired, you will deliver a finished, tested and production-ready index.html.
