Humanoid silhouette rig + 2 swappable skins: Redcoat soldier and Ninja
Project description
Overview
I need a reusable grey humanoid silhouette / base character that can be rigged and animated, plus two complete skins that attach to the same rig:
1. British Redcoat soldier
2. Ninja
The grey base is the skeleton everything sits on. The two skins must share that same rig so I can swap them without rebuilding animations.
The character must support:
• movement animations (idle, walk, run, etc.)
• dance animations
• holding / aiming guns
• future extra skins on the same body
Deliverables
A. Grey base / silhouette
• Neutral grey humanoid body (adult male or androgynous — recommend what works best for both skins)
• Clean animation-friendly topology
• Full body rig (fingers included)
• T-pose or A-pose
• Setup so additional skins can be attached later
• Simple grey material only
B. Skin 1 — British Redcoat soldier
• Period-inspired red coat, white/cream breeches or trousers, black gaiters or boots, tricorn or similar hat, white cross-belts
• Should read clearly as a redcoat at game distance, not a museum replica
• Include a rifle/musket-ready pose setup (hands can hold a long gun)
• Keep it game-ready, not ultra high-poly
C. Skin 2 — Ninja
• Classic dark ninja look: hood/mask, wrapped torso, pants, wraps, soft boots
• Should still use the same body/rig as the redcoat
• Hands able to hold swords and guns (even if stylistically odd — I need the rig to support guns)
Technical requirements
• One shared skeleton for base + both skins
• Humanoid / Mixamo-friendly or engine-standard skeleton (Unity Humanoid or UE mannequin — state which)
• Clean weights: shoulders, elbows, hips, knees, fingers, coat tails / cloth if any
• Weapon sockets: right hand, left hand, optional back/holster
• If clothing is separate meshes (coat, hat, mask, etc.), they must still follow the same bones
• Game-ready polycount. Tell me your target tris for body + each skin
• Formats: rigged FBX for each variant (or one FBX with skinned mesh options) + source file (.blend / .ma)
• Textures: PBR (albedo, normal, roughness as minimum). 2K is fine unless you recommend otherwise
• Consistent scale (~1.8m)
What I will use this for Swap skins on one character, play movement and dance anims, and have the character hold guns. I may add more skins later, so the base must be built for that.
Out of scope unless quoted separately
• Full animation set (rig must support the anims; I do not need you to animate every dance/walk unless you include a short test clip)
• Extra factions / extra outfits
• Facial performance rig (basic head/jaw is enough)
• Gun/sword models, unless you want to include simple placeholder weapons
