Project overview
We are a technology event producer in Silicon Valley, California looking to build a long-term relationship with a virtual assistant for speaker logistics, sales, and website maintenance. This role requires attention to detail, an optimistic attitude, and keeping cool under pressure. You must know how to use google drive, docs and sheets. Your work is done on google drive. We expect this role to be 40 hours a week, although we are flexible on more hours if the relationship is a good fit for our needs. You will need to work during California business hours. Much of the work involves emails; but you will need to leave messages or follow up with calls. So fluency in English is required. This current gig is thru Jan 6 for our next event, but if you do a good job, we will keep you thru other events. SPEAKER LOGISTICS You would help us reach out to speakers via email and LinkedIn, and manage relationships with them via email. You would also recruit VIP guests via phone calls. MARKETING PARTNERSHIPS You will follow up with leads we provide and develop your own for marketing partnerships from meetups, nonprofits and media. We will give you templates to send out. You will fill in daily spread sheet with updates and send partners link to documents to promote our events. SALES You would make initial calls to our sales leads, introduce the company, and setup sales calls for our founder to close prospects. You will send them form email we provide after daily calls. WEBSITE MAINTENANCE You would keep our website information up to date for our upcoming events, and add event information as we recruit speakers and sponsors. OUR HIRING PROCESS INITIAL PHONE SCREEN --> FOUNDER INTERVIEW --> TRIAL PROJECT We start our hiring process with a 15-min phone screen in which we will learn about your background and what you are hoping for from the role. Next, you’ll meet for a 30-minute call with our founder Zahava, who will get to know you and learn about your skills and personality. Finally, you’ll work on a short, paid trial project in which you will do basic tasks in the areas outlined above. If you pass these areas, we will hire you week to week up thru the event.
