Project overview
We are a growing insurance brokerage in California specializing in commercial insurance, including Workers' Compensation and Employee Benefits. We are looking for an experienced and motivated cold caller to join our team on a freelance basis. Your primary responsibility will be to generate leads and set appointments with decision-makers at California-based companies, particularly those in the construction industry, to discuss their commercial insurance needs. Responsibilities: Conduct outbound cold calls to prospective business clients, primarily from a pre-qualified list of California contractors and small to mid-sized businesses. Present our range of insurance services, including Workers' Compensation, Employee Benefits, and General Liability, to prospective clients. Set appointments for our sales team to follow up with interested prospects. Accurately log call details, notes, and follow-up actions. Meet or exceed weekly and monthly quotas for calls and appointments. Qualifications: Proven experience in cold calling, telemarketing, or outbound sales, preferably in the insurance industry. Knowledge of California's commercial insurance market and regulations (preferred but not required). Strong communication skills with the ability to engage potential clients and build rapport quickly. Comfortable working in a remote environment with minimal supervision. Self-starter with a results-driven mindset.
