The goal is to launch a clean, informative brochure-style website using WordPress as the CMS. I already know that an e-commerce engine or mobile app functionality isn’t required; this project is purely about presenting information clearly and professionally.
Scope of work
• Install and configure the latest stable WordPress release on my hosting.
• Recommend and customise a lightweight, responsive theme that matches brand colours and typography.
• Build the core pages (Home, About, Services, Contact) with placeholder text that I can later replace.
• Set up an easy-to-use page builder or block editor so future content edits don’t need coding.
• Add a contact form that delivers messages to my email.
• Optimise basic on-page SEO settings (titles, meta descriptions, clean URLs) and ensure the site loads quickly on mobile and desktop.
Acceptance criteria
1. Site displays correctly on modern browsers and common mobile sizes.
2. WordPress back-end is left uncluttered, with only the plugins used for this build activated.
3. All pages pass a simple accessibility check (contrast, alt text, keyboard navigation).
4. I receive a brief hand-off document outlining theme, plugins used, and instructions for updating content.
Once the site is live on my domain and these criteria are met, the project is complete.
