I am seeking an experienced Wix website designer/developer to build a professional, modern, easy-to-navigate website for my new Georgia-based consulting company, Compass Correctional Navigation, LLC.
Our website/domain is TheWayToHelp.com.
About the Business
Compass Correctional Navigation was created from personal experience. My wife and I both entered the correctional system one day apart, leaving our family with very little understanding of what would happen next or how the correctional process worked.
That experience showed us a significant information gap for individuals preparing for incarceration and the families supporting them.
Compass was created to help bridge that gap.
We provide educational, preparation, and navigation services for individuals preparing to enter the Georgia correctional system and their families. Our goal is to help clients understand the process, prepare for what lies ahead, maintain family connections, and begin planning for successful reentry.
We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice or legal representation.
Our brand message is:
Knowledge. Preparation. Peace of Mind.
Website Objective
The website should immediately communicate professionalism, trust, discretion, compassion, and hope.
Many visitors will arrive at the website during a stressful and uncertain period in their lives. The site therefore needs to be reassuring and approachable without looking overly institutional, intimidating, or like a law-enforcement/corrections website.
We already have an established Compass logo, nautical theme, brand colors, written content, service descriptions, pricing structure, and other marketing materials that can be provided to the selected designer.
Visual Direction
The design should incorporate our existing Compass branding with a sophisticated nautical/navigation theme.
We envision:
Navy blue, white, gray, and tasteful gold accents
Compass/navigation imagery
Lighthouse, coastline, horizon, or similar imagery where appropriate
Clean professional typography
Generous white space
Modern, upscale consulting-company appearance
Strong but tasteful calls to action
Excellent mobile responsiveness
The nautical theme should communicate direction and guidance, rather than looking like a boating or travel website.
Proposed Website Structure
We anticipate approximately 6 primary pages:
Home — Strong introduction to Compass, who we help, why the company exists, overview of services, calls to action, and consultation request.
About Compass — Company story, mission, values, and a personal message from the Founder explaining why Compass was created.
Services & Pricing — Clear presentation of our consulting packages, currently including an Initial Compass Consultation, Family Navigation Package, Compass Transition Package, and a specialized Executive Transition Package.
Resources — Educational information, FAQs, family resources, and eventually downloadable guides and materials.
Request a Consultation — Professional intake/contact form allowing prospective clients to provide basic information about their circumstances and select the service they are interested in.
Contact — Business contact information, hours, and contact form.
The website will also require appropriate Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, Copyright/Proprietary Information, and Disclaimer pages or footer links.
Functionality
The initial website should include:
Wix CMS/editor setup that I can maintain after completion
Responsive desktop, tablet, and mobile design
Consultation/contact intake forms
Email notifications for new inquiries
Strong call-to-action buttons
Basic SEO configuration
Google/search-friendly page titles and descriptions
Social-media integration
SSL/security configuration
Connection to our existing domain, TheWayToHelp.com
Ability to add online appointment scheduling and payment processing
Ability to add downloadable PDF resources
Ability to expand later with articles/blog content and a secure client area
The site should be structured so these additional features can be added without requiring a complete redesign.
Our Services
Compass assists clients and families with subjects including preparation before reporting, reception and intake, diagnostics and assessment, classification, facility assignment, daily institutional life, family communication, visitation, commissary and financial accounts, educational/program opportunities, and reentry planning.
Again, our role is educational and consultative. We do not represent clients legally, provide legal advice, or claim the ability to influence correctional placement, classification, release, or other government decisions.
Ideal Freelancer
I am looking for someone who:
Has strong experience building professional Wix websites
Has a portfolio demonstrating polished business/service websites
Understands responsive/mobile design
Can work with an existing brand rather than redesigning everything
Has good visual judgment
Can make recommendations when appropriate
Understands forms, scheduling, payments, SEO, and Wix integrations
Communicates clearly and reliably
Is comfortable working collaboratively with a business owner who is relatively new to website development
I am not simply looking for someone to install a Wix template. I want someone who can take our existing brand, story, content, and business model and turn them into a polished, credible professional website.
Materials We Can Provide
The selected freelancer will not be starting from scratch.
We can provide our:
Compass logo • brand colors • business synopsis • mission statement • Founder story • service descriptions • pricing • FAQ content • client guide materials • legal/disclaimer language • business contact information • existing PDF marketing materials.
Our goal is to give the designer the substance and content they need and have them concentrate on turning it into an excellent online presentation.
The End Result
When someone facing incarceration—or a concerned spouse, parent, child, or attorney—visits TheWayToHelp.com, I want them to immediately understand:
There is someone who understands what we're going through. There is a plan. And we don't have to figure all of this out alone.
The website should establish Compass Correctional Navigation, LLC as a professional, trustworthy, confidential, compassionate and knowledgeable resource for individuals and families navigating the Georgia correctional system.
