I need a skilled freelancer to fix errors on my website and improve its SEO.
Requirements:
- Fix broken links and incorrect formatting to enhance user experience.
- Improve on-page SEO by optimizing meta descriptions, header tags, and keywords.
Ideal Skills:
- Experience in website error correction.
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices.
- Ability to analyze and optimize website structure for better search engine ranking.
Audit all 27 published pages individually.
Give every page one unique SEO title, approximately 50–60 characters.
Give every page one unique meta description, approximately 140–160 characters.
Use one—and only one—H1 heading per page.
Make the H1 clearly describe that page’s specific service or event.
Organize supporting content with logical H2 and H3 headings.
Assign one primary search phrase to each page so pages do not compete against each other.
Include “Chicago,” “Chicagoland,” or the appropriate service area naturally where relevant.
Confirm every page has a short, readable URL slug.
Do not change existing slugs unless the current slug is genuinely wrong.
Make every page’s opening paragraph unique and clearly explain the service.
Remove duplicate wording copied across multiple pages.
Add useful, page-specific information rather than repeating generic DJ descriptions.
Add internal links to related services, themed events, service areas, pricing, media, and contact.
Check every button and internal link for incorrect URLs, redirects, and 404 errors.
Add descriptive image ALT text based on what the image shows.
Rename generic image filenames such as IMG1234.jpg when practical.
Compress oversized images and confirm they use WebP where supported.
Confirm each page has a visible call to action.
Use consistent CTA wording such as “Check Availability,” “Request a Quote,” or “Plan Your Event.”
Confirm phone number and contact information are consistent throughout the website.
Add page-specific FAQs where they provide useful customer information.
Add valid FAQ schema only when those questions and answers are visible on the page.
Add LocalBusiness or EntertainmentBusiness schema sitewide.
Add Service schema to important service pages.
Add Event schema only for actual scheduled public events—not general event-service pages.
Add breadcrumb navigation and BreadcrumbList schema.
Confirm every page has a self-referencing canonical URL.
Confirm all pages intended for Google use index, follow.
Remove accidental noindex tags from pages that should appear in search.
Keep thank-you pages, internal search pages, drafts, and utility pages out of Google.
Include only live, canonical pages in the XML sitemap.
Remove 404 pages, redirected URLs, noindex pages, and duplicate URLs from the sitemap.
Confirm robots.txt does not block important pages, CSS, JavaScript, or images.
Submit the correct sitemap in Google Search Console.
Request indexing only for important live pages—not 404s, redirects, or intentionally excluded pages.
Validate Search Console fixes by category after corrections are completed.
Review Google’s selected canonical for every page showing “Duplicate” or “Alternate page.”
Check that HTTP, HTTPS, www, non-www, and trailing-slash versions resolve to one preferred URL.
Replace redirect chains with one direct redirect where redirects are necessary.
Create proper redirects only for pages that were permanently renamed or removed.
Repair broken external links and embedded YouTube videos.
Confirm every page works correctly on desktop, tablet, and mobile.
Check the mobile menu, buttons, cards, forms, images, and text spacing.
Fix text contrast, hidden text, overlapping cards, and headings that are difficult to read.
Improve Core Web Vitals: loading speed, layout movement, and button responsiveness.
Delay unnecessary scripts and remove unused plugins or page elements where safe.
Confirm the contact form works and sends both the customer confirmation and business notification.
Add clear trust signals: 49 years of experience, professional equipment, service coverage, real photographs, reviews, and business identity.
Add real customer testimonials to the most important service pages without duplicating the exact same review everywhere.
Strengthen the Media page with optimized videos, photographs, captions, and links to relevant services.
Keep all public pricing exclusively on the Pricing & Packages page, according to your rule.
Check the Pricing page search description: Google currently displays “Starting prices from $1,095”; keep it only if that remains accurate. Current Google result
Add a privacy policy because the contact form collects personal information.
Add basic website terms and an accessibility statement.
Connect and verify Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
Track contact-form submissions, phone-button clicks, email clicks, and quote-request buttons as conversions.
Perform a final crawl after corrections and create one completed checklist showing: page title, meta description, H1, canonical, index status, schema, internal links, images, mobile condition, and CTA for every page.
