I maintain an online form that captures plain text responses only, and I’m tired of pasting those answers into spreadsheets by hand. What I need is a small automation that listens for each new submission, drops every field into an Excel workbook, then builds or refreshes a dedicated “Summary” sheet that shows key statistics—totals, simple counts, maybe averages or other descriptive metrics where they make sense.
You’re free to choose the stack: a lightweight Python script with openpyxl, a no-code connector such as Zapier or Make, or a quick API hook if the form platform exposes one. All I care about is that it runs reliably, handles new fields gracefully, and leaves me with:
• One worksheet that quietly logs every submission, locked one response per row so nothing is lost.
• A second sheet that recalculates the headline numbers automatically whenever new data arrives.
Hand-off should include the working code or integration settings, a clear read-me explaining how to deploy or tweak field mappings, and a brief test run proving the stats refresh on their own.
