UK Letter Engagement Negotiator

I’m looking for a UK-qualified contract specialist who can step in each time I send a new Letter of Engagement to an SME client (usually no more than four a month) and carry the negotiation through to signature.

Here’s how I see the collaboration working: I supply my base template and the commercial details, you review it quickly, jump on calls or exchange emails with the client’s representative, and drive the discussion until we have clear, balanced terms that protect my position without jeopardising the relationship. Typical pressure points are scope creep, payment milestones, liability caps, confidentiality and IP. I expect a quick summary after each round so I can follow the changes without wading through mark-ups.

To keep things moving, a two-to-three-business-day turnaround on comments is ideal. Solid experience in UK contract law plus a confident, pragmatic negotiation style with SMEs is essential.

Deliverables for every engagement:
• Finalised, signed Letter of Engagement
• Redline or change log showing agreed amendments
• Brief rationale explaining key concessions or wins
