I’m building a content-first blog that also lets readers browse and add items to a simple product catalog, then place them in a shopping cart. I need a designer-developer who can take the project from concept to launch, handling everything from wireframes and responsive layouts to configuring the catalog and cart inside the CMS or site builder you recommend (WordPress + WooCommerce, Webflow, Shopify Blog section, or a comparable stack).
Here’s what I’m after:
• A clean, fast blog structure with categories, tags, search, and an intuitive back-end editor so I can publish posts without touching code.
• A visually consistent product catalog embedded within or alongside the blog, using the same navigation and styling.
• Shopping-cart functionality that lets visitors add items straight from the catalog and see their cart update in real time. (Payment-gateway setup can be left stubbed or ready for future integration—I mainly need the catalog and cart working smoothly now.)
• Fully responsive design, passing Core Web Vitals and looking crisp on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
• Basic SEO best practices baked in: semantic headings, meta tags, alt text, and an XML sitemap.
• Handoff files and a quick walkthrough video or live call so I’m comfortable maintaining the site.
Acceptance criteria
– Blog section loads in under 2 s on desktop (3G simulated), with lighthouse performance ≥ 90.
– Catalog items display correctly across the last two major versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
– Cart retains items during a session without errors.
– All copy, colors, and logo assets I provide are applied consistently.
If this blend of blogging and light e-commerce sounds like your wheelhouse, show me a couple of similar sites you’ve built and let me know what platform you’d propose so we can get started right away.
