# Senior Full-Stack Developer Needed — Fintech Comparison Marketplace MVP

We are building **Fidati**, a new fintech platform helping small and medium-sized businesses compare and access business financing.

We are looking for a **Senior Full-Stack Developer / Product Engineer** able to take ownership of our first production-ready MVP from architecture to deployment.

This is **not a simple website**.

We strongly prefer candidates who have already built **comparison engines, marketplaces, aggregators, lending platforms, fintech/insurtech products, lead-generation platforms, or other data-driven transactional applications**.

Experience delivering software **end-to-end** is essential.

## MVP Scope

The first release is focused on one core use case:

### Business Financing Comparison Engine

A business owner should be able to:

1. Visit the website without registering.
2. Enter:

* financing amount;
* duration;
* financing purpose.
3. View compatible financing products from multiple lenders.
4. Compare:

* estimated monthly payment;
* nominal interest rate;
* APR / total annual cost where available;
* duration;
* estimated total cost;
* fees;
* main eligibility requirements;
* indicative response time.
5. Filter and sort results.
6. Open a product detail page.
7. Select a product.
8. Enter basic company/contact information.
9. Submit a financing enquiry.
10. Receive a unique Fidati request ID.

The Fidati team must then be able to see and manage the request in an internal back office.

## Admin / Back Office

The MVP must include a secure admin area to:

* create and manage lenders;
* create and manage financing products;
* publish / unpublish products;
* update pricing and conditions;
* store source URL and last verification date;
* version financing products;
* review financing enquiries;
* update request status;
* view basic funnel analytics.

Initially, approximately **10–20 financing products will be entered manually**.

We do NOT want to rely on web scraping in the first release.

## Comparison Engine

Products should be filtered based on:

* requested amount;
* duration;
* purpose;
* minimum / maximum amount;
* minimum / maximum term;
* product availability.

Initial ranking must be **deterministic and transparent**, not AI-based.

Example default logic:

1. lowest available APR;
2. estimated total cost;
3. estimated monthly payment.

Users must be able to change the sorting criteria.

## Financial Calculations

We need a deterministic, unit-tested calculation module able to calculate, where applicable:

* monthly payment;
* total payments;
* total interest;
* estimated total cost.

Financial calculations must **not use generative AI**.

APR must never be invented from incomplete information. If unavailable, it should simply be shown as unavailable.

## Product Versioning

This is an important requirement.

If a financing product changes its rate or conditions, the previous version must remain available historically.

We need to know:

> Which exact conditions were displayed when a customer selected the product?

Each product should therefore retain:

* version;
* effective date;
* source;
* source URL;
* verification date;
* historical versions.

## Preferred Technology Stack

### Frontend

* Next.js
* React
* TypeScript
* Tailwind CSS
* responsive / mobile-first UI

### Backend

* Node.js
* NestJS
* TypeScript
* REST APIs
* OpenAPI documentation

### Database

* PostgreSQL

### Infrastructure

Ideally:

* AWS;
* European region;
* Docker;
* Terraform;
* GitHub Actions;
* CI/CD;
* separate development, staging and production environments.

Architecture preference: **modular monolith**, no unnecessary microservices.

### Testing

* unit tests;
* integration tests;
* Playwright end-to-end tests.

## Required Experience

Please apply only if you have strong experience with:

* senior full-stack development;
* React / Next.js;
* TypeScript;
* Node.js backend development;
* PostgreSQL;
* REST API design;
* authentication and role-based access;
* admin / back-office systems;
* production deployment;
* Git / pull-request workflows;
* automated testing;
* building software from architecture to production.

## Very Important Experience

We are especially interested in developers who have built:

* price comparison websites;
* financial product comparison tools;
* marketplaces;
* aggregators;
* loan comparison engines;
* insurance comparison platforms;
* travel / energy / telecom comparison engines;
* fintech SaaS products;
* lead-generation marketplaces.

Please clearly explain your direct experience in these areas.

## Strong Plus

Experience with:

* fintech;
* lending;
* credit;
* banking;
* financial marketplaces;
* financial calculations;
* regulated industries;
* AWS;
* Terraform;
* security-oriented SaaS applications;
* SEO-oriented Next.js applications.

## Security Requirements

The MVP must already follow a production mindset:

* HTTPS;
* secure authentication;
* MFA for admin users;
* role-based access;
* server-side validation;
* rate limiting;
* secure secrets management;
* database backups;
* structured logging;
* no sensitive data in logs;
* audit trail for relevant admin actions.

## Out of Scope

The following are NOT part of this MVP:

* Open Banking;
* credit bureau integrations;
* document OCR;
* document upload;
* proprietary credit scoring;
* Credit Health;
* AI Credit Advisor;
* direct bank integrations;
* lender CRM integrations;
* appointment booking with banks;
* automated loan applications;
* native mobile apps;
* machine learning;
* multi-agent AI systems.

The architecture should allow these modules to be added later without rebuilding the platform.

## First Required Vertical Slice

Before expanding the product, we want this flow working end-to-end:

### ADMIN

Create 3 lenders
→ create 10 financing products
→ publish them

### USER

Visit Fidati
→ request €250,000 over 60 months
→ view compatible products
→ compare results
→ select one product
→ submit company information
→ create a financing enquiry

### ADMIN

See the new enquiry in the back office.

This is the first milestone.

## Development Process

We already have:

* detailed product specifications;
* initial technical architecture;
* structured backlog;
* approximately 40 development tickets;
* acceptance criteria;
* testing requirements.

Development should follow a ticket-based workflow.

For each ticket we expect:

* implementation;
* tests;
* acceptance criteria completion;
* clean pull request;
* short documentation for relevant technical decisions.

All source code must remain in a **GitHub repository owned by Fidati**.

All cloud infrastructure and third-party accounts must also remain under Fidati ownership.

## What We Are Looking For

We are not looking for someone who only implements screens.

We need a developer able to own:

**Architecture → Database → Backend → Frontend → Testing → Deployment**

and deliver a working product.

Good communication and pragmatic decision-making are important.

## How to Apply

Please include:

1. **2–3 relevant projects** you personally built.
2. Your experience with **comparison engines or marketplaces**.
3. Which parts you personally handled:

* frontend;
* backend;
* database;
* infrastructure;
* deployment;
* testing.
4. A short proposed architecture for this MVP.
5. Estimated development effort and milestones.
6. Fixed-price estimate.
7. Expected availability.
8. GitHub profile or code samples, if available.

## Screening Question

Please start your proposal with:

**FIDATI-COMPARE**

Then answer:

> If a financing product changes its interest rate tomorrow, how would you design the database so that an application created today still references exactly the conditions the customer saw today?

Generic proposals that do not answer this question will not be considered.

We prefer milestone-based payments linked to working deliverables.

If the collaboration works well, this can become a long-term relationship as the product roadmap expands into credit analytics, AI advisory, lender integrations and credit management.
