I have a BIM model available both as a native Revit file and as an IFC export and I need a precise steel material take-off pulled from it. The scope is limited to steel only—no concrete or timber—covering beams, columns and reinforcing elements throughout the entire model.

I expect a detailed breakdown rather than a simple total: quantities by member type, profile, length, weight and any bolts or plates that Revit/IFC schedules can expose. Please extract the information directly from the model so the report can be cross-referenced back to element IDs for traceability.

Deliverables
• An itemised excel (or CSV) schedule listing every steel beam, column and reinforcement, with section size, length, count and tonnage.
• A brief PDF summary highlighting total tonnage and any model discrepancies you spot.
• Screenshots or a marked-up Revit/IFC view that shows where any excluded or ambiguous elements were found.

I will supply the Revit (.rvt) file plus the corresponding IFC once you accept the job. Let me know which Revit version you prefer and any add-ins (e.g., Navisworks, Excel plug-ins) you plan to use so we stay compatible. Turnaround within five days would be ideal, but tell me if you need longer.
