I’m preparing to break ground on a brand-new residential build and need a licensed structural engineer to run a full structural analysis before we pour the first footing. The architectural plans are ready in PDF and CAD, and my local authority requires sealed calculations demonstrating compliance with current residential code (IBC/IRC).
Here’s what I expect from our collaboration:
• Complete load calculations for gravity, wind, and seismic conditions
• Member sizing and foundation recommendations based on the analysis
• A concise report with your professional stamp plus editable structural drawings (DWG)
Feel free to work in the software you’re most comfortable with—ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, RISA or similar—as long as the final package is clear for my builder and acceptable to the permitting office.
Turnaround within two weeks would keep the project on schedule, but let me know if you need slightly longer. Once the structural set is accepted by the city reviewer, the job is done and paid in full.
