Chrome Extension: Add Action Button

I already have a lightweight Chrome extension that takes a list of names from Excel, lets me tweak the list, and then spits out a plain-text draft I can paste anywhere. I now need one extra step: after the draft appears, I want to trigger an additional action with a single click.

There is currently no button in the interface for this, so your task starts with adding one. Once the button is in place I’ll walk you through the exact JavaScript logic it should run—nothing complex, and all within the standard Chrome extension APIs. If you’re comfortable navigating manifest files, popup scripts, and background messaging, this should be a quick tweak.

Deliverable
• Updated extension code (popup HTML/CSS/JS and any background or content scripts) that introduces the new button and wires it to a function stub we can expand together.

I’ll supply the existing source as soon as we begin. Looking forward to a fast, clean update.
