I need a manufacturing-savvy professional who can translate my mechanical drawings for stone-crushing and bulk-material-handling equipment into a clear, itemised raw-material plan and, in parallel, build a reliable vendor base capable of supplying those inputs.
What the assignment covers
• Material calculation: convert every plate, casting, shaft, bearing and fastener shown on the BOM into tonnage, grade/spec and estimated cost, factoring typical wastage for heavy fabrication work.
• Vendor development: locate and pre-qualify suppliers who can meet these specs, gather price-break data, lead times and quality certifications, then rank them so I can issue RFQs confidently.
Deliverables
1. Spreadsheet showing part-wise raw-material weights, grades and landed cost.
2. Comparative vendor matrix with capacity, certifications, quoted price and lead-time.
3. Written recommendations on preferred suppliers and potential cost-savings.
Acceptance criteria
• ±3 % accuracy on weight calculations versus final fabrication tally.
• At least three viable vendors per critical item.
• All assumptions and sources documented.
A background in heavy machinery fabrication, stone-crusher assemblies or material-handling systems will make the work flow faster. Familiarity with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Excel (or ERP export), and current Indian steel market rates is highly desirable. Let me know your approach and expected timeline so we can get started right away.
