Plain Text Data Entry

I have a batch of plain-text (.txt) documents that need to be lifted out of their current loose-file state and entered accurately into a structured format. The job is straightforward: open each file, copy the contents exactly as they appear (preserving line breaks and basic punctuation), and paste them into the destination I provide—most often an Excel sheet, though I’m open to a Google Sheet if that is easier for you.

Consistency and zero-error typing are critical. All characters, including special symbols or accent marks, must carry over intact, and you’ll flag any unreadable fragments so I can review them.

When you deliver, I’ll check:
• Every source file is accounted for.
• Text matches the original byte-for-byte (no dropped lines, doubled spaces, or smart-quote substitutions).
• Sheet rows remain in the same order as my file list.

Once everything passes that spot check, I release the milestone and we move on to the next folder. If you work quickly and cleanly, there will be additional batches ready straight away.
