Open-Source TXT Novel Editing Web Tool

PROJECT TITLE:
Private TXT Novel Editing Tool – Free Server, No Paid Services

I need a simple private web-based TXT Novel Editing Tool.

IMPORTANT:
There must be NO paid API, NO paid software, NO paid hosting requirement and NO automatic paid service/subscription.

The tool should work using free/open-source components and a free server for development/testing. If any component has a limitation, tell me before using it.

MAIN PURPOSE:

This tool will NOT translate English to Hindi.

Its only purpose is to edit/prepare an English TXT novel before I use an external translation service.

WORKFLOW:

Upload English TXT
↓
Select/Create Novel
↓
Load that novel's Glossary
↓
Apply predefined word list + custom glossary
↓
Process/Edit English TXT
↓
Generate a NEW edited English TXT
↓
Download Edited TXT

REQUIRED FEATURES:

1. TXT UPLOAD

- Upload English TXT files.
- It should properly handle 5 MB and 10 MB files.
- The system should be designed to support larger files where possible.
- Original uploaded file must remain untouched.

2. NOVEL-SPECIFIC GLOSSARY

Each novel must have its own separate glossary.

Glossary can contain:

- Character names
- Place names
- Clans/Families
- Sects/Organizations
- Important recurring terms
- Fantasy/Cultivation terms
- Other user-defined terms

I must be able to:

- Add entries
- Edit entries
- Delete entries
- Save the glossary
- Reuse the same glossary for future files of the same novel

Glossaries from different novels must NEVER mix.

3. PREDEFINED WORD LIST

The tool should have an initial predefined list of around 255 common words/replacements.

255 is NOT a hard limit.

I must be able to:

- Add more words
- Edit words
- Delete words

If a term exists in both the predefined list and the novel-specific glossary:

NOVEL-SPECIFIC GLOSSARY MUST HAVE PRIORITY.

4. EDITING

The tool should only apply the defined glossary/word replacements.

It must NOT:

- Translate to Hindi
- Rewrite the story
- Add new information
- Change events
- Change character relationships
- Change powers/abilities
- Change numbers
- Change the original meaning
- Creatively rewrite sentences

The purpose is only to prepare/edit the English TXT.

5. PREVIEW / REPLACEMENT INFORMATION

After processing, show useful information such as:

- Number of replacements
- Which terms were replaced
- Processing status

A simple preview is preferred if possible.

6. PROGRESS

Show processing progress/status while a large TXT file is being processed.

Example:

Processing: 45%
Completed
Failed

7. FAILED + RETRY

If processing fails:

- Clearly show FAILED status.
- Show the error/reason if possible.
- Provide a RETRY button.
- Retry should process the file again without requiring me to upload everything again if possible.

8. DOWNLOAD

After successful processing:

- Provide a clear DOWNLOAD button.
- Download the newly edited English TXT file.
- File must be a clean TXT file.
- Original uploaded TXT must remain separate and unchanged.

9. NOVEL DATA

Save each novel's:

- Name
- Glossary
- Custom word replacements
- Processing information where required

A new novel must have a separate glossary.

10. SERVER / COST

VERY IMPORTANT:

I do NOT want any paid service.

There must be:

- No paid API
- No paid translation API
- No paid AI API
- No paid database
- No paid software
- No automatic subscription
- No automatic dollar billing
- No paid hosting requirement

Use FREE / OPEN-SOURCE components wherever possible.

A FREE SERVER can be used for development/testing.

I may deploy the final source code on my own server later, but the project should not depend on a paid service.

If you believe any paid service is absolutely required, tell me BEFORE starting. Do not add any paid service automatically.

11. SOURCE CODE

I need the complete editable source code after completion.

The project should be easy to move from one server to another.

12. BUG SUPPORT

I need 2 YEARS FREE BUG SUPPORT after delivery.

Bug support means:

- Fixing bugs in the delivered code
- Fixing errors in the agreed features
- Fixing problems caused by the developer's implementation

New features or completely new requirements can be quoted separately.

13. TESTING

Before final delivery, test the tool with actual TXT files, including approximately:

- 5 MB TXT
- 10 MB TXT

Test:

- Upload
- Novel creation/selection
- Separate glossary
- Custom glossary priority
- Predefined word list
- Adding/editing/deleting words
- Processing
- Progress
- Successful output
- Failed status
- Retry
- Download
- Original file remaining unchanged

14. IMPORTANT

Please keep the tool SIMPLE.

I do not need an unnecessarily complicated AI system.

I need a reliable TXT editing tool that follows the glossary and replacement rules accurately.
