I have a React site whose interface is fully designed and working. What still remains is the server-side work, and I need someone who can sit with me at our Rajajinagar office, plug straight into the codebase and get it across the finish line.
Here is what’s left to build:
• User authentication powered by JSON Web Tokens (JWT) – sign-up, login, protected routes, token refresh and secure storage.
• Database management – the schema and a few tables are already in place, but the structure is only partially set up. You will need to review what exists, complete the missing collections/tables, write the remaining queries or ORM models, and seed initial data where required.
• API integration – wire the finished front-end components to clean, well-documented REST endpoints, handle errors gracefully and ensure the responses line up with the UI expectations.
All front-end calls are already stubbed; you will mainly be creating or completing the controllers, middleware and data layer, then testing everything end-to-end on the local network before we push to staging.
Tech you should be comfortable with: Node.js, Express (or a comparable framework), JWT, whichever database you prefer to finish the current setup (it’s running on SQL right now, but I’m open to a quick migration to Postgres or MySQL if that speeds things up), Git and basic Docker commands for local containers.
This is a strictly onsite engagement. You’ll have a dedicated workstation, immediate access to the designer and me for quick feedback loops, and we can clear blockers in real time. My goal is to wrap the backend in no more than one intense working week, including tests and a quick security review.
Deliverables will be:
1. Fully functional backend repository pushed to our Git server
2. Postman (or Thunder Client) collection covering every new endpoint
3. A short hand-off document outlining the database schema, JWT secret rotation steps and any environment variables
If you’re confident you can walk in, own these tasks and leave the project deployment-ready, let’s lock dates and get started.
