I need a New York–licensed attorney to step in immediately on a contractor dispute for a log-home build in Deposit, NY. I already paid $283,095 under a signed agreement; not a single board has been delivered, and the out-of-state contractor has now issued a “revised” estimate of $469,938 while lacking the license required to build in New York. My own pre-litigation outreach has gone nowhere, so it is time for formal legal action.

Here is what I require next:
• First, take the draft complaint I have prepared—together with the signed contract, payment records, demand letters, and site photographs—and refine it so it is fully ready for filing in a New York court.
• Second, prepare and serve a formal notice and demand letter on the contractor.
• Third, lead the initial settlement discussions with a clear mandate: secure a full refund of every dollar already paid.

Experience in contract disputes and familiarity with construction-law issues in New York will be essential. If settlement talks fail, I will rely on you to file suit and pursue the matter through litigation, but the immediate priority is the notice and negotiations.

All materials are organized and ready for secure electronic transfer as soon as we engage. Only attorneys admitted in New York should respond; bids from non-licensed practitioners will be declined.
