I’m looking for a talented video editor to create a short, cinematic hip-hop promotional Reel for my upcoming music debut at Gallery Nightclub in Vancouver.
The concept is to showcase some of the major hip-hop artists who have previously performed at Gallery, rapidly transitioning/glitching from one artist to the next, before ultimately ending on me — Kristian Menjivar, debuting as Prophecy.
Previous Gallery artist footage can be sourced directly from Gallery Nightclub’s Instagram page. Examples include 50 Cent, Nas & Wu-Tang, Rick Ross, YK Osiris, Migos/Trippie Redd, and other recognizable artists who have performed at the venue. We can decide together which clips work best.
The rough progression is:
50 Cent → glitch → another major Gallery artist → glitch → another artist → glitch → YK Osiris → BLACK → AUGUST 29 → PROPHECY
I will provide photos/video footage of myself for the final reveal. I’m also open to incorporating AI-generated or AI-enhanced footage of me if it improves the final result.
The important storytelling element is that these artists are NOT appearing at my event. They are artists who have previously performed at Gallery. The concept is essentially:
“They’ve taken the stage. August 29 — my turn.”
When I am revealed, I would like the audio to transition into my own unreleased hip-hop track, making the Prophecy reveal the climax of the video.
Visual Direction
Dark, cinematic, luxurious and high-energy — more like a major-label artist announcement or music trailer than a traditional nightclub advertisement.
I want a strong glitch aesthetic featuring digital noise, signal interruption, tasteful data-mosh effects, flashes, distortion, frame tearing and potentially very brief blackouts between artists. The glitches should become increasingly intense as the video approaches my reveal.
The effects should enhance the edit rather than overwhelm it. Timing, pacing and sound design are extremely important.
Final reveal should feel powerful and cinematic:
AUGUST 29
MY TURN.
Music switches to my song.
KRISTIAN MENJIVAR
DEBUTING AS
PROPHECY
THE REVIVAL

The final video should ideally be approximately 10–15 seconds, formatted vertically (9:16) for Instagram Reels.
I’m looking for someone with experience in music videos, hip-hop edits, cinematic trailers, VFX/glitch editing or artist promotional content. Please include examples of similar work in your proposal.
