Mobile Order Status Tracker App

I need a lightweight mobile application that lets my team enter and update the status of customer orders throughout the day. The app must run smoothly on both Android and iOS, syncing each change instantly so our customers and staff can see the latest information in real time.

Core requirement
• Real-time order tracking: the moment a status is entered or edited it should be reflected for every user, without refreshing.

While push notifications and account management are not essential right now, I’d like the codebase structured so those functions can be added later without a full rewrite.

Typical flow
1. Staff member logs in (simple PIN or e-mail link is fine for now).
2. Select or scan an order.
3. Choose the new status or add a short note.
4. Change appears instantly on the tracking screen.

Data can live in Firebase, Supabase, or a small Node/Express backend—use whichever will get us live fastest and still keep running costs low. Clean, well-commented code and a brief hand-off guide are all I need to take it from there.
