I need a custom mixed-signal circuit engineered from the ground up to drive an optical wireless communication link. The design must cleanly blend an accurate analog front-end—handling photodiode receive and LED/VCSEL drive stages—with the required digital processing blocks for modulation, clock recovery, and protocol framing.

My priority is signal integrity across the entire chain: low-noise transimpedance amplification, precise ADC/DAC selection, and robust high-speed PCB layout that minimises jitter and EMI. Component choices should be commercially available and cost-effective for a small production run.

Because the target is an optical wireless channel rather than Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or Zigbee, you are free to choose or recommend the most suitable modulation scheme (e.g., OOK, VPPM, OFDM) provided the final design can sustain a reliable link at ≥100 Mb/s over a 5-10 metres in typical office lighting.

Deliverables

• PCB layout files and Gerbers ready for manufacturing
• Annotated BOM with supplier links
• Hardware circuit designs (Not Simulation) with validation
• Brief design report explaining key decisions and expected performance metrics
