Mechanical & Architectural Engineers -- 2

I’m expanding my in-house design team and need both a mechanical engineer and an architectural engineer who can collaborate smoothly on upcoming residential building projects. Our focus is owner-occupied homes and small multi-family developments, so your solutions must balance aesthetics, comfort, energy efficiency, and constructability right from schematic design through to construction documents.

You’ll be stepping into projects that already have clear design briefs and preliminary concepts. I’ll rely on you to refine those concepts, create coordinated drawings and calculations, and troubleshoot issues as they arise. BIM coordination (Revit or ArchiCAD) and 2D detailing in AutoCAD are part of the day-to-day workflow, and familiarity with load-calculation or daylight-analysis software is a plus.

To be shortlisted, submit a detailed project proposal outlining:
• how you typically structure residential design packages,
• the toolchain you prefer, and
• an estimated timeline for your first round of deliverables.

Feel free to weave in portfolio links and a brief note on relevant experience, but the proposal itself is what I will evaluate first. I’ll review submissions as they come in and will invite selected freelancers to a quick video call to discuss scope, milestones, and collaboration style.
