A printed manuscript of roughly 50–100 pages needs to be turned into a clean, editable digital file. High-resolution scans of every page are ready to share the moment the project begins.

Accuracy is the single most important requirement: every word, paragraph break, and heading must match the original text. While I don’t need extensive re-writing, obvious typos can be highlighted with comments so I can address them later. Basic layout cues—chapter titles, italics, or bold where they exist—should remain clear in the final copy.

I’m flexible about the output; a Word document will let me revise in the future, and a matching PDF would be a welcome extra if it fits naturally into your workflow. Whether you prefer straight typing, OCR with careful cleanup, or a blend of both, feel free to use the tools you know best (ABBYY FineReader, Adobe Acrobat, MS Word, etc.) as long as the final text is error-free.

Turnaround within a week of project start would be ideal. When you respond, briefly outline your process, confirm your timeline, and, if possible, point me to a sample of similar work you’ve completed.
