Manual QA Testing for "PriceMatch" Web App

We need an experienced manual QA tester to thoroughly test a live, already-deployed web app called PriceMatch and produce a clear bug report.

ABOUT THE APP
PriceMatch lets a customer log a purchase they made at a retailer (Best Buy, Costco, Target, Walmart, Amazon), then automatically tracks that product's price. If the price drops within a 60-day window, the app alerts the customer by email/push so they can claim a price-match refund from the store. It's a React web app (also installable as a PWA) backed by a Node.js API.

WHAT NEEDS TESTING

1. Account & login
- Register, log in, log out, change password
- Stay logged in across browser sessions/tabs — confirm you are NOT unexpectedly logged out during normal use (this was recently changed, please test carefully)
- Edit profile (name, notification preferences)

2. Adding & tracking products
- Add a product manually (name, store, price paid, purchase date, optional URL/SKU/barcode)
- Edge cases: a price under $15 (should be rejected), a purchase date far in the past, today's date, an invalid date
- Add a product with a real retailer product URL and confirm the detail page reflects it
- Try the "Add from photo" and "Find link with AI" helpers and note if/when they misbehave

3. Product list & detail
- Filter/sort the product list by status and store
- Open a product's detail page: price history chart, "Check Price Now" button
- Confirm a product's status (active / claimed / expired) makes sense for its purchase date — this logic changed recently, please flag anything that looks off (e.g. a product that should be active shows expired, or an old expired one becomes active after you edit its date)

4. Notifications
- Notifications page: unread count, mark one/all as read
- If you get a price-drop email or in-app alert, confirm original price / new price / savings match the product
- If you expect an alert and don't get one, tell us exactly what you did and when — email delivery has had issues before and matters a lot to us

5. Claiming a price match
- From a product with a price drop, try the claim flow and confirm the claimed amount/status update correctly

6. Receipts
- Upload a receipt image/PDF, confirm it's parsed and a line item can be added as a tracked product

7. General
- Enter unusual text in free-text fields (name, notes) — special characters, emoji, very long text, HTML-looking text like test — confirm it never breaks or displays oddly anywhere it's shown later (dashboard, emails, notifications)
- Test on desktop and mobile browser (responsive layout)
- Try the "install as app" (PWA) prompt if you see it

OUT OF SCOPE
- No load/performance testing
- No penetration testing/security exploitation — just note anything that looks like a security or privacy issue (e.g. seeing another user's data) and stop there
- No need to touch any admin/internal tooling — that's not part of this app

DELIVERABLE
One bug report (spreadsheet or doc) listing, per issue:
- Short title
- Steps to reproduce
- Expected vs. actual result
- Severity (blocker / major / minor / cosmetic)
- Screenshot or short screen recording
- Browser/device used

Test account credentials will be shared privately after hiring — please don't post or request any login/API credentials publicly on this platform.
