I need an iOS app that turns any LiDAR-enabled iPhone or iPad into a professional-grade foot scanner for custom bootmaking. The core of the job is a highly detailed 3-D capture that preserves every contour—bunions, hammertoes, callouses, blisters, overlapping toes, ingrown nails—so I can print an accurate STL file for each client.

Workflow I am after
• The user opens the app, sees brief on-screen text prompts, and is guided to keep the device at the right distance and speed; if they drift too far or move too quickly the UI flags it instantly.
• While the scan is running, the app automatically records twelve girth measurements around key points of the foot and traces the dorsal outline for pattern work.
• Approximately twenty-four still photos are grabbed during or immediately after the scan for colour and surface reference.
• When finished, the app packages the STL mesh, the measurement dataset (preferably CSV or JSON), and the image set, then transmits everything directly to our secure endpoint.

Acceptance criteria
– Sub-millimetre accuracy on the mesh when tested against a calibrated last.
– Automatic measurement variance no greater than ±1 mm compared to manual tape.
– Clean, watertight STL ready for slicing with no post-repair.
– TestFlight build for internal testing plus full Xcode project on delivery.

Relevant tech keywords you might lean on: ARKit, LiDAR, SceneDepth, Metal, RealityKit, CoreML (if you prefer ML-based cleanup), Swift, Objective-C, STL export libraries.

If you have previous experience with orthotics, 3-D scanning, or LiDAR depth workflows, let me know; otherwise, outline how you’ll meet the accuracy targets and deliver the milestones above.
