About the Role
MotoClique is looking for an Assistant App Developer to work alongside our main developer and take responsibility for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the existing MotoClique application.
The application is already developed. This is a part-time hybrid role, with 2 days of work from our Mysuru office and the remaining work being carried out remotely.
Candidates based in Mysuru, Bengaluru, and nearby areas are preferred, provided they are comfortable travelling to the Mysuru office for the required in-office days.
The candidate will assist the main developer with bug fixing, troubleshooting, new feature development, testing, Android builds, and production support. When critical issues occur in the live application, the developer should be available to provide timely technical assistance and help resolve the issue quickly.
Work Arrangement

2 days per week work from the Mysuru office
Remaining working days can be completed remotely
Regular coordination with the main developer is required
Candidates from Mysuru, Bengaluru & nearby areas are preferred

Availability for urgent production support may occasionally be required
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance the existing MotoClique application built using Vanilla JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and DOM manipulation.
Identify, troubleshoot, and fix JavaScript, UI, CSS, touch, click, and interaction-related issues.
Work with the existing 20,000-line single-file application and understand its structure and functionality.
Diagnose mobile application issues using Chrome DevTools and chrome://inspect on real Android devices.
Troubleshoot Android WebView issues including keyboard behavior, viewport problems, scrolling, rendering, and touch interactions.
Assist the main developer in developing and integrating new features and improvements.
Manage Capacitor and Android Studio builds, debugging, signing, and .aab generation.
Assist with Google Play Console releases, testing tracks, version updates, and production deployments.
Test application updates and bug fixes across different Android devices and screen sizes.
Provide timely technical support when bugs or issues are identified in the live application.
Work independently to investigate problems, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions.
Ensure fixes are properly tested before being deployed to production.
Required Skills
1–2 years of experience in application or web development.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and DOM manipulation.
Experience debugging existing applications and working with large codebases.
Understanding of CSS specificity, cascade, Flexbox, positioning, and responsive layouts.
Experience with Chrome DevTools and mobile debugging.
Basic to good understanding of Android WebView.
Familiarity with Capacitor and Android Studio.
Understanding of Android application builds and .aab generation.
Basic experience with Google Play Console and app deployments.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and respond quickly to production issues.

Experience working with Capacitor/WebView-based applications.
