Illustrative Country Flag Book Covers

I’m preparing a new series of country-classic titles and I need eye-catching, illustrative covers that place each nation’s flag at centre stage. The style I’m after is unmistakably Illustrative—no photo-realistic vintage treatments or minimalist modern layouts. Each cover must feel like an original piece of art while still reading instantly as that country’s flag.

All technical groundwork is done: I’ll supply fully-laid-out cover templates (front, spine, back) along with trim, bleed and spine width. Your role is to drop into those files, build an original flag illustration that fills the design area, and weave in the title, author name and imprint details so everything sits comfortably together. Typography should borrow from the flag’s colour palette and balance the artwork without overpowering it.

I’m working in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, so layered IDML or PSD files plus print-ready, CMYK PDFs (300 dpi, 3 mm bleed) will be the final hand-off. Each cover must pass a quick pre-press check: colours within gamut, text safely inside margins, no rasterised type.

Deliverables for every book
• Updated template with your flag illustration and finished typography
• Press-ready PDF ready for the printer
• Layered source file (IDML or PSD)

If you love turning national symbols into striking, story-driven artwork, I’d love to see your portfolio and discuss the first batch of titles.
