Project Title: Experienced Book Marketing Specialist – Targeted Launch Campaign for Historical Novel (KDP / IngramSpark)
Project Description:
Seeking a dedicated book marketer with a verified track record in historical fiction, biographical fiction, or niche historical non-fiction.
We have completed the production phase for a compelling historical novel centered on the Marquis de Lafayette. We need a targeted marketing strategy and active execution to build readership, generate verified reviews, and drive sales across Amazon KDP and expanded distribution.
Key Deliverables & Scope of Work:
Metadata & Amazon Optimization: Advanced keyword and BISAC/Amazon category research to ensure algorithmic traction and discoverability.
Review Strategy: Outreach and coordination with verified ARC (Advance Reader Copy) reviewers, historical fiction bloggers, and book review outlets.
Targeted Ad Campaigns: Setup, optimization, and audience targeting for Amazon Ads (AMS) and targeted social ads (focusing on historical enthusiasts, Revolutionary War interest groups, and literary circles).
Launch Plan & Promotional Schedule: A structured, 30-to-60-day promotional calendar including newsletter promotions, price promotion placements (e.g., Freebooksy, Fussy Librarian, Bargain Booksy), and direct reader engagement.
Platform Ingestion Support: Advising on optimal launch pricing, KDP Select vs. wide distribution considerations, and Author Central optimization.
Requirements:
Proven experience marketing historical fiction or narrative history (please provide specific titles or case studies of previous book launches).
Deep understanding of Amazon algorithms, keywords, and KDP ad dashboards.
All work must be conducted transparently with agreed fixed-price milestones.
To Apply, Please Answer:
What specific historical fiction or non-fiction book titles have you marketed, and what were the tangible results?
What would your primary approach be for a 130-page historical novel featuring the Marquis de Lafayette?
Do you recommend Amazon Ads, targeted newsletter placements, or a combination for this genre?
