Hindi Book Typing Project

I have several handwritten Hindi books, each running roughly 100 – 300 pages, that need to be digitised accurately. Your task is to read the handwriting from the physical pages (high-resolution images will be supplied) and re-type every word in clear, error-free Unicode Hindi, maintaining original chapter breaks, headings and page numbers for easy cross-reference later.

I will provide the first book in batches of scanned JPEGs; after each batch you return a clean Word file (or Google Doc) using Mangal or any standard Unicode font. No OCR shortcuts please—manual typing is essential so that spellings, matras and punctuation remain faithful to the source.

Deliverable for each batch
• A single text file in Unicode Hindi, formatted to match the manuscript’s structure
• A brief log of unreadable or ambiguous words, if any, flagged for my review

Acceptance criteria
• 99 %+ typing accuracy when spot-checked
• Consistent use of Unicode characters (no legacy fonts)
• Timely submission of each agreed milestone file

Once the first manuscript is complete and quality is confirmed, the remaining books will follow under the same process, letting you work comfortably from home and at your own pace.
