I want to fast-track my confidence with modern Python workflows over the next two weeks. The focus is threefold:
• GitHub – walk me through version-control fundamentals, then dive into day-to-day GitHub workflow (branches, pull requests, reviews) and, most importantly, how that flow ties directly into an IDE.
• Visual Studio Code – starting from a clean install, guide me through setup and configuration, recommended extensions, and the key integrations that make GitHub and Python development feel seamless.
• Python IDE comparison – produce clear, beginner-friendly tutorials for both PyCharm and VSCode (with the Python extension), showing when and why to pick one over the other, plus any quirks in project management, virtual environments, debugging and testing.
. API Client Postman & Bruno - produce clear quick tutorial about using API clients and available features.
Deliverables I expect:
1. Step-by-step written or video tutorials (your choice) that I can keep for reference.
2. Live session or screen-share demo so I can ask questions in real time.
3. A concise best-practices checklist for organising, versioning and collaborating on Python projects across the two IDEs and vsCode
Everything should be practical with live sessions: real repositories, sample code I can clone, and tips I can apply the same day. If you can have the full material ready for review within fourteen days, let’s get started. I would like to schedule one 60 minute session for each topic.
