We need an experienced Shopify Liquid developer to remove obsolete app code and improve the performance of an established Shopify store using the Unsen theme by The4.
Several previously removed apps left behind scripts, snippets, CSS, JavaScript, app embeds, and other theme code. We need the active storefront cleaned and tested without changing its current design.
1. We use the **Unsen Shopify theme by The4**, not Dawn. It has been customized over time. The published theme is `t/72`, although some older assets may still be loading from `t/54`. The project includes both theme code and leftover app snippets/scripts across the active storefront, including product and cart pages.
2. We currently use the theme’s cart drawer and AJAX cart functions, along with some promotional, gift, upsell, wishlist, and related app features. All working behavior must be preserved. If you find duplicate integrations or cannot confirm whether something is active—for example, Tek Labs versus Salepify—list it and ask before removing it. Remove only code confirmed to be obsolete or duplicated.
SCOPE
* Duplicate the published theme and work only in the unpublished copy.
* Audit and remove confirmed leftover app code across the active storefront.
* Review global theme code, homepage, product pages, collections, cart, search, header, footer, mobile navigation, and app embeds.
* Check for unused or duplicate scripts, pixels, ScriptTags, CSS, JavaScript, and old theme assets.
* Review known remnants involving Affiliatly, Tek Labs, Salepify/Nitro, Rapid Reviews, Now-in-Stock, Yotpo, Cozy, Trunk, and countdown apps.
* Keep all active apps and functioning features.
* Test representative pages on desktop and mobile.
* Provide a preview link and a short list of files edited, code removed, active items retained, and anything left because its status was uncertain.
IMPORTANT
* Do not edit the published theme.
* Do not redesign or visually change the store.
* Do not install another app, optimizer, or page builder.
* Do not delete `custom-redesign.css` without approval.
* Do not remove uncertain code without asking.
* Header, navigation, search, wishlist, cart, email signup, cookie banner, product functions, and checkout handoff must continue working.
