Rangeland Truck & Crane is a specialized transportation provider serving Canada and the United States, delivering heavy haul, oversize, and project cargo solutions. We are seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Estimator to become a long-term member of our team.

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented estimator with proven heavy haul and oversize transportation experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for pricing projects from initial inquiry through final proposal, accurately identifying all transportation requirements and building professional customer quotations.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate heavy haul and oversize transportation estimates
Review customer drawings, dimensions, weights, and project requirements
Determine equipment requirements including trailers, booster configurations, and specialized hauling equipment
Research and estimate permit costs across jurisdictions
Determine pilot car and escort requirements for all routes
Estimate route surveys, utility escorts, police escorts, and other project-specific requirements
Build detailed customer quote letters and transportation proposals
Calculate project costs, margins, and profitability
Coordinate with dispatch, operations, and management teams
Maintain quote records and support business development activities
Required Experience
Heavy haul or oversize transportation estimating
Permit cost estimation throughout Canada and/or the United States
Pilot car and escort requirement analysis
Route planning and logistics coordination
Understanding of provincial, state, and federal transportation regulations
Strong Excel and computer skills
Excellent written communication and proposal-writing abilities
