I’m building a low-level component for Windows and need an experienced C developer who is comfortable working close to the operating system itself. The focus is pure system programming: interacting with Windows internals, leveraging the Win32 API, and writing efficient, secure code that compiles cleanly with MSVC / clang.
What I will provide:
• A concise specification of the module’s purpose and required interfaces
• Any existing code skeletons and test harnesses
• Clear, reproducible steps for validating the build
What I need from you:
• Well-structured C source and headers, fully commented
• A short README explaining build flags, dependencies, and usage
• Verification that the solution runs on current Windows 10/11 releases
Acceptance criteria
• Source compiles without warnings at /W4
• All supplied tests pass on x64 Windows
• No external libraries beyond standard Windows SDK unless pre-approved
If you’ve written kernel-mode drivers or tight Win32 utilities before, this will feel familiar. Let’s discuss the details and get started.
