I maintain a private loader for Rust that normally attaches, shows the full ESP, and runs fine, but lately the attach has become unpredictable. On the same Windows machine, using the same executable and identical game build, I follow the usual steps—run the loader, launch Rust, spawn into a server, hit F1/attach—and only about one out of every three attempts returns player-and-world data. The overlay and menu always appear; what fails is the data feed, leaving the ESP empty.
Each silent attach that misbehaves throws an error referencing a “crt or pid decryption issue” (nothing about file paths or permissions). A reboot or several retries eventually yields a good run, which tells me it isn’t a simple permission problem.
I need someone to dig into the loader, identify why the process handle or decryption routine occasionally breaks, and supply a reliable fix or clear mitigation steps. You should be comfortable analysing Windows user-mode injections, crypto/obfuscation routines, and whatever anti-cheat countermeasures may be involved.
