I’m putting together a practical yet engaging handbook aimed squarely at people about to take their first solo trip. The core of the guide should be actionable travel tips and tricks—everything from choosing flights and finding budget-friendly lodgings to navigating local transport and beating jet-lag. Because the readership will be heading out on their own, I also want strong, well-researched safety advice woven naturally into each chapter (think situational awareness, online privacy, after-dark precautions, and quick-reference emergency numbers).

What I don’t need right now are destination spotlights or detailed packing checklists. The focus is best-practice knowledge that transfers to any country, with special callouts where solo travelers face unique challenges.

Deliverables
• A clear, easy-to-read handbook (≈8–10k words) formatted for both PDF and e-reader.
• Clean, mobile-friendly layout with headings, pull-quotes, and two or three simple infographics that illustrate key safety concepts.
• Citations or links for any statistics, laws, or recommended apps/tools mentioned.
• A concise executive summary (one page) highlighting the most critical solo-safety takeaways.

I’d like a draft table of contents within a week of kickoff and the finished manuscript polished, proofread, and ready for layout within three weeks after that. If you have firsthand solo-travel experience or have previously produced similar guides, please mention it along with a short sample.
