About Alta Ares

Alta Ares is an air defense Neoprime. We build AI-guided interceptors to counter drones and cruise missiles, along with the software platform that powers them.
Our customers are NATO-aligned militaries and defense institutions, and our systems are regularly deployed during live exercises and operational demonstrations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
Founded in 2024, we have grown to 90 people, raised over $60M, and increased revenue 40× this year. We are now entering a new phase of international expansion, industrial scaling, fundraising, and product development.

Role & Mission

You will be the operational backbone of Alta Ares' field demonstration team — ensuring that every client and partner demonstration runs flawlessly, from equipment preparation through to mission debrief.

On the ground, you are the go-to support for pilots, operators, and engineers: handling logistics, setting up and dismantling demo sites, keeping the equipment fleet in condition, and solving problems on the fly. Your versatility and resourcefulness set you apart — you move seamlessly from a hardware check to a client interaction, from a flight case to a transport declaration, without losing pace or precision.

Key Responsibilities
Demonstration Preparation
Prepare and verify all equipment before each mission: drones, ground control stations, batteries, and tooling

Pack into flight cases and conduct pre-departure checks

Keep inventories accurate and up to date

Checklists & Continuous Improvement
Own the operational and equipment checklists — execute them on the day

Update checklists after each mission based on field feedback

Formalise and improve processes continuously

Logistics & Transport
Organise outbound shipments and equipment returns

Prepare all transport documentation and coordinate with carriers and the supply chain

Ensure material arrives on time and in compliance with applicable regulations, including for sensitive or dual-use equipment

Field Deployment
Install and strike the demonstration site

Support pilots during flight operations

Serve as the on-site point of contact for ground teams, host nation staff, and client representatives

Equipment Maintenance
Monitor the condition of the demonstration fleet and report anomalies

Carry out first-level maintenance interventions

Keep the hardware mission-ready at all times

Administrative Support
Prepare authorisation requests and write mission reports

Manage expense claims and travel bookings

Keep tracking tools up to date: backlog, planning, and mission logs

Candidate Profile
Military background or defence sector experience strongly valued: logistics, field support, or operations

Understanding of the defence ecosystem required — genuine commitment to national and European sovereignty

Versatile and resourceful: you move from a manual handling task to a client conversation without missing a beat

Rigorous on equipment and procedures — with the instinct to formalise and improve what can be

Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Available for frequent travel, including internationally and in degraded security environments, sometimes at short notice

Professional English — mandatory

French driving licence (Permis B) — mandatory; heavy goods licence (Poids Lourd) appreciated

Good physical condition — outdoor work and load carrying are part of the role

Experience in drone piloting or the UAS/C-UAS ecosystem is a plus

Experience shipping sensitive equipment is a plus
