Enhance Football App Performance & Features

I already have a working football app built with a full-stack development platform. I now want to push it further in two key areas: performance and functionality.

Performance optimisation
The app needs to feel snappy even on mid-range devices. I am specifically targeting faster screen loads and reduced data consumption when fetching match information or player stats. Any refactor that trims API payloads, implements smarter caching, or improves code efficiency is welcome—so long as it translates into visibly quicker response times and lighter network usage.

New functionalities
1. Live match updates – real-time scores, minute-by-minute commentary, and match events streamed with minimal latency.
2. User statistics tracking – personal dashboards where each fan can see their activity, favourite team follow-ups, and historical interactions within the app.

Deliverables
• Updated source code and documentation outlining all performance enhancements (what changed and why).
