Project Overview

I am looking for an experienced website specialist to complete an end-to-end review and modernisation of an existing business website.

The website already has an established structure, pages and content. I am not looking to start again from scratch. Instead, I need someone who can critically review what currently exists, identify what should be improved, and provide clear recommendations to modernise the website and strengthen its performance.

This project includes both the review/recommendation stage and implementation of the approved changes.

The successful freelancer should have strong capability across:

* Website UX/UI and modern web design
* Website content and copy optimisation
* SEO and search intent
* AI search/discoverability (including how content is structured for AI-powered search and answer engines)
* Conversion and user journeys
* WordPress/web development and implementation
* Website imagery, graphics and visual presentation

Stage 1 – Website Audit & Recommendations

The first stage is a comprehensive review of the existing website.

I would like every key page reviewed, including its purpose, structure, content, design and effectiveness.

The review should consider:

Page Structure & UX

* Overall site architecture and navigation
* Page layouts and information hierarchy
* User journeys and calls to action
* Opportunities to simplify, restructure or consolidate content
* Mobile responsiveness and usability
* Opportunities to modernise the overall presentation

Content

* Review existing copy for clarity, relevance and positioning
* Identify content that should be rewritten, expanded, removed or repositioned
* Recommend new content or sections where required
* Ensure the website clearly communicates services, expertise and value proposition
* Improve conversion-focused messaging and calls to action

SEO & AI Discoverability

* On-page SEO
* Search intent and keyword opportunities
* Heading and page structure
* Metadata recommendations
* Internal linking opportunities
* Content structure and topical coverage
* Opportunities to improve visibility and understanding across traditional search engines and AI-powered search/answer platforms

Design & Visuals

* Identify outdated or inconsistent design elements
* Recommend layout and styling improvements
* Review existing imagery and graphics
* Recommend replacement/new imagery, graphics, icons or other visual elements where appropriate
* Ensure visual consistency across the website

Stage 1 Deliverable

Within 3 days of commencement, I require a detailed but practical website review and implementation plan that clearly identifies:

1. What should change
2. Why it should change
3. Recommended page structure/layout
4. Proposed content changes
5. SEO and AI optimisation recommendations
6. Required graphics/image changes
7. Any technical or functionality recommendations

Where content needs to be rewritten, I would like the proposed replacement content provided for approval, rather than simply being advised that the content should change.

The recommendations should be specific enough that I can review and approve the proposed direction before development begins.

Stage 2 – Implementation

Once the audit, proposed content and design direction have been reviewed and approved, the successful freelancer will implement the agreed changes.

This may include:

* Updating page layouts and website styling
* Building or restructuring sections/pages
* Updating and implementing approved website copy
* Implementing SEO improvements
* Updating metadata and page structure
* Improving internal linking
* Updating calls to action
* Sourcing/creating and implementing approved graphics or imagery
* Ensuring responsive presentation across desktop, tablet and mobile
* Testing links, forms and functionality
* Final website QA before completion

The intention is to have a fully updated and modernised website at the end of the project, not simply an audit or list of recommendations.

Timeline

This is a time-sensitive project and I am looking for someone who can commit to completing the project end-to-end within approximately two weeks.

Stage 1 – Audit, Recommendations & Proposed Content: within 3 days of commencement

Client Review & Approval: promptly following delivery

Stage 2 – Implementation: approximately 10 days following approval
