AI Bookkeeper has an existing, partially completed Next.js marketing website at aibookkeeper.com. The current codebase, branding and visual design are already in place.
We need an experienced Next.js developer to take over the existing repository, verify that it matches the live deployment, preserve the current visual direction, and complete the remaining marketing-website scope.
This engagement covers the public marketing website only. It does not include development of the AI Bookkeeper customer application or backend API.
Required work:
• Audit the existing GitHub repository, dependencies, branches and deployment configuration.
• Confirm that the source code builds successfully and matches the live website.
• Preserve and improve the current design. Do not rebuild or redesign the website without written approval.
• Complete the missing pages, including Features, QuickBooks Integration, For Small Businesses, For Accountants and Bookkeepers, About Us, Contact Us, Book a Demo and final Pricing.
• Improve existing pages and fix frontend bugs, layout issues and React component problems.
• Ensure full responsiveness across desktop, tablet and mobile.
• Add visible Login and Get Started buttons linked to app.aibookkeeper.com.
• Implement Contact, Book a Demo and early-access forms with server-side validation, spam protection, email notifications and clear success/error states.
• Integrate a headless CMS for the blog. Sanity is preferred. The CMS must manage content only; website design and components must remain code-controlled.
• Build the blog listing, individual article pages, categories, authors, featured images, SEO fields and draft/preview workflow.
• Implement the approved SEO keyword architecture supplied separately, including required landing pages, metadata, canonical URLs, schema, sitemap, robots.txt and internal linking.
• Correct the www/non-www canonical redirect and any conflicting crawler rules.
• Optimize Core Web Vitals, images, fonts, caching, code splitting and JavaScript bundles.
• Configure or verify Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools and approved analytics/conversion tracking.
• Establish a safe staging workflow at stage.aibookkeeper.com before production deployment.
• Configure production and preview deployments, CI/CD, environment variables and required Cloudflare/Vercel settings.
• Provide deployment, rollback, CMS, DNS, environment-variable and maintenance documentation.
• Please begin your proposal with “AI Bookkeeper Takeover” to confirm that you have read the complete requirements.
• Complete a full handover under AI Bookkeeper-owned GitHub, hosting, CMS, analytics and infrastructure accounts.
Important conditions:
• This is an existing-website takeover and completion project—not a rebuild from scratch.
• The current premium visual design should be preserved.
• No changes may be made to app.aibookkeeper.com or api.aibookkeeper.com without separate written authorization.
• No freelancer-controlled account may remain the sole owner or administrator of any project resource.
• All third-party tools, templates, licences and recurring costs must be disclosed before use.
• All project-specific source code, designs, documentation and deliverables will belong to AI Bookkeeper.
Applicants must provide:
Links to three relevant live Next.js projects.
Their exact role in each project.
Recommended CMS and technical approach.
Fixed-price milestone quote.
Estimated timeline.
Post-launch support period.
Confirmation of individual or team execution.
Confirmation of complete code, documentation and IP handover.
