I am ready to turn an approximately 11,500-sq-ft play place into a fully fledged children's museum and I need an experienced designer who can translate my vision into build-ready plans.
The project has a collection of 6 large 12' x 13' playhouses--engineering lab, grocery store, farm, farmer's market, pizza shop, and hospital--laid out so kids flow naturally from one immersive setting to the next. These playhouses should be large enough to accommodate adults and must be ADA compliant. I am aiming for a warm, inviting look rather than anything ultra-modern or heavily themed; think cozy colors, natural textures, and soft edges that feel instantly welcoming.
Interactive playhouses are my top priority, and each must incorporate:
- Mechanical gadgets kids can crank, push, or pull
- Educational displays that explain the science behind what they are doing
- Sensor-based activities that trigger lights, sounds, or movement
In addition to the playhouses, there will be air/wind tubes for yarn balls and lightweight scarves to flow through, an AI-driven interactive wall, a water table zone, and a 3-mini-hoop basketball area with varying heights for the mini-hoops that allow children ages 2+ to play.
Around the center of the floor, I'd like a moderate play structure--big enough to excite older kids but scaled so it doesn't dominate the room. Low balance beams, stepping stones, and a swing will round this structure.
There should also be a toddler area positioned near the dining area for easy parent supervision.
I have an AI-generated photorealistic rendering that's roughly to scale; you can use it as a reference or build on it. Of note, I am hoping to partner with local iconic business for each of these play areas, so each area should allow for their businesses to be displayed in such a way that is educational and promotional.
We are looking for files to share with contractors.
I would love to see examples of similar work you have completed. Please let me know how quickly you can provide the 1st draft. Thank you.
