I am looking for an experienced mechanical CAD designer to design a rotary wrapping machine based on reference videos that I will provide.
The machine shown in the videos will be used as the main reference for the design.
Main Requirement
The machine is a horizontal rotary wrapping machine with:
* 1,400 mm clear internal ring diameter
* Rotating ring carrying a stretch-film roll
* Roller conveyor for passing the product through the ring
* Motor/gearbox driven rotation
* Simple steel fabricated construction
The machine should be designed to be simple, strong and economical to manufacture.
What I Need
The designer should prepare:
* Complete 3D CAD model of the machine
* Individual parts ready for fabrication
* DXF files ready for CNC laser cutting
* STEP/STP files
* Basic fabrication drawings with dimensions
* Assembly/exploded drawing
* Simple Bill of Materials (BOM)
* Details of standard purchased parts such as bearings, rollers, motor, gearbox, sprockets, chain/belt and fasteners
CNC Laser Cutting
Most steel components should be designed for CNC laser cutting wherever practical.
Our laser-cutting capability is up to approximately 3 metres, so individual parts should preferably remain within this size.
DXF files must be:
* 1:1 scale
* Ready for laser cutting
* Correctly dimensioned
* Clearly identified by part number and material thickness
Parts requiring bending or welding should be clearly shown on the fabrication drawings.
Design Approach
I am not looking for a complicated redesign of the machine.
The reference videos clearly show the type of machine and operating concept I require.
The designer should use these as the basis for creating a practical version that can be manufactured locally.
Where possible, use readily available standard components rather than expensive or specially manufactured parts.
The 1,400 mm clear internal ring diameter is a fixed requirement.
Other dimensions can be proposed by the designer based on the reference machine and discussed with me before finalizing the design.
Important
The purpose of this project is to receive files that I can actually use for manufacturing.
I should be able to give the DXF files to a laser-cutting company, have the parts cut, and then use the drawings to fabricate and assemble the machine.
I am not looking only for a rendering or visual 3D model.
Deliverables
At completion I require:
3D CAD + STEP/STP + DXF laser-cutting files + fabrication drawings + assembly drawing + BOM
Original editable CAD files must also be included.
